Uncle Lannon needed a bench to sit on while waiting for his ride to work. This is his Taxi bench.
Uncle Lannon and his nephew Owen.
My brother built a new desk for himself.
Sister's first cutting board.
During covid, we built desks for people to have workspaces in their homes.
After covid, we built desks for teachers, like the maple and cherry standing desk below. If you know a teacher who needs a desk, let me know.
I built myself a customized baseball bat. If you would like one for you, your child or your coach, I can do that. We can design a customized name sticker for it and I can turn the bat from a block of wood using Papa's lathe.
This is where my mom grew up in Louisiana. The trees are largely gone or twisted now after the city was impacted by three hurricanes. After all of that excitement, my grandparents moved to NC to live near us. My grandfather Papa and my dad taught me woodworking.
We shared lots of meals at this table on the deck during covid. We watched a bluebird family welcome new members during covid while we sat here.

The white standing desk below is in another classroom for another great teacher.
This desk was a retirement gift for another amazing teacher. The wood is reclaimed from my grandparents' fence, a fence that was destroyed during hurricanes Laura and Delta in Louisiana. It is weathered cypress.
We made a couple of live edge benches. The dog enjoys sitting on hers on the front porch. It shows some spalting below.
This wine rack is made from reclaimed wood.
Here is a NC version of the wine rack.
Here is another teacher's desk.
My brother made a cool flying machine picture, parachute and all.
We made my grandmother a table, too. We sanded down the wood above and it creates a different texture.
